A TASTE OF BOURRÉE : DANCES FROM AUVERGNE AND MASSIF CENTRAL What would be more French than a bourrée? Wear your prettiest béret (just kidding) and enjoy dances from Auvergne and Massif Central! With roots in the traditional dances of France’s diverse regions, bal folk includes easy dances from all over the country - and a few imports as well! In this series of three monthly events, each night will begin with a workshop focused on a particular region followed by a bal with live music. Bob Walser will lead the dances and join Dan Newton, The BreTones and others in providing the music. (Laura M. gets to play boxwood flute, boxwood G whistle and boxwood cornemuse in the BreTones). $10 - registration is greatly appreciated! See "Get Tickets". No dance experience is required but do bring your two feet, two ears and a smile!
