Brass Lassie returns to Crooners, this time to the Belvedere. A completely tented, outdoor room for concerts/dinner, comfortable and quite glamorous, by Moore Lake. We are delighted to be invited back to this stellar listening venue! (Dinner and cocktail service begins in the Belvedere at 5:15pm).

Willow Brae, the duo of Andrea Stern (harp) and Laura MacKenzie (winds & voice) in concert at Glenwood's arts & culture center, Central Square. Joining Andrea and Laura for this special event with Michael Bissonnette, percussionist. They will be performing Scottish and Irish music, with a few special world music surprises along the way.
An annual outdoors musical showcase, held at a beautiful private setting, complete with stage. Please email Laura for the address - laura@lauramackenzie.com (It is just east of Mahtomedi, MN). Bring your own chair and refreshments, and enjoy three different performance ensembles, from 2pm - 5pm. Donations welcome, $10 suggested. Laura will be performing the first set, with percussionist Marc Anderson. Marc has studied, performed and recorded all over the world with hundreds of great artists including Angelique Kidjo, Robert Fripp, Don Cherry, Max Roach, and Taj Mahal. Marc has also collaborated frequently with Laura MacKenzie, from the past century pan-Celtic ensemble Macha Trí to their current “big band” Brass Lassie. We hope you can be there!

Laura MacKenzie and Amy Shaw received a fellowship from the American-Scandinavian Foundation to study Swedish wooden flute in southern Sweden back in 2020. This year, they can finally realize this fellowship activity. Watch for their performances based on this study, to be scheduled in the Twin Cities in September.
